On April 13, the Kent County Chamber of Commerce hosted a panel discussion featuring four realtors where the group discussed the residential real estate market here in Kent County and how the coronavirus pandemic affected home sales.
The featured panelists included:
Hugh Smith, Coldwell Banker Chesapeake Real Estate Company
Chris McClary, Gunther McClary Real Estate
Julie Santoboni, Cross Street Realtors
Cindy Genther, Rock Hall Properties and the Flynn Company
Topics discussed during the panel discussion include how we are experiencing an extreme seller’s market which has led to an increase in sales volume and average listing price, the demographics of new home buyers are coming from new markets and is trending towards a younger audience with families, the expansion of fiber broadband throughout the county and the opening of the 301 toll road have been major game-changers, and thoughts on how long this real estate boom will last.
